Important Safety Information
Last updated: May 12, 2026
EMERGENCIES: If you have a medical emergency, seek in-person emergency care immediately or dial 911. The Service is not appropriate for all medical conditions or concerns.
This page summarizes important safety information about the prescription products available through the Service. It forms part of, and should be read together with, the Verve Telehealth Terms and Conditions. Capitalized terms not otherwise defined on this page have the same meaning as set forth in the Verve Telehealth Terms and Conditions.
Prescription Products
Certain products available through the Platform require a valid prescription by a licensed healthcare provider. You will not be able to obtain a prescription product unless you have completed a consultation with one of the Providers, the Provider has determined the prescription is appropriate for you, and the Provider has written a prescription.
If a Provider determines a prescription is appropriate, you will receive information about your options for filling it. Certain prescriptions can be filled through one of the Pharmacies, or you may fill the prescription at any pharmacy of your choice as prompted during your use of the Service. Prescriptions may also be transferred among the Pharmacies without notice.
Not all prescriptions fulfilled by the Pharmacies use child-resistant packaging and your prescription product may not be dispensed in a child-resistant container.
Some prescriptions are not available through the Pharmacies and must be filled by a local pharmacy of your choice. If you fill a prescription with a pharmacy other than the Pharmacies, you will be responsible for picking up the prescription and paying the pharmacy directly.
Compounded Weight Management Medications
Certain weight management treatments offered through the Service include compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide medications dispensed by licensed compounding pharmacies pursuant to a valid prescription. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved. They are not generic versions of, equivalent to, or therapeutically interchangeable with any commercially available, brand-name FDA-approved drug.
Your Provider will determine whether a compounded weight management medication is appropriate for you based on your individual medical history and clinical evaluation. These medications are not guaranteed to produce specific results. Outcomes vary by individual, and your Provider may modify or discontinue treatment at any time based on their clinical judgment. By accepting treatment, you acknowledge that you have discussed the risks, benefits, and alternatives with your Provider and that you accept these risks.
Talking With Your Provider
Contact your provider through the patient portal immediately if you experience anything unexpected or concerning. Do not stop or adjust your medication without speaking to your provider first.
For medical questions about your care plan, prescription, or how your treatment is working, contact your provider through the patient portal.
If you have a concern about a medical professional, you may contact the Medical Board in your state regarding your concerns.
Emergencies
If you are experiencing a life-threatening situation such as contemplating suicide, call 911 or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
If the situation is an emergency, call 911. In some situations, telehealth is not an appropriate method of care. If you require immediate or urgent care, you must seek care at an emergency room facility or other provider equipped to deliver urgent or emergent care. Providers may not respond promptly to communications you submit through the Service.
Disclaimer
These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. Compounded medications are prepared by state-licensed pharmacies. Results vary by individual. This is not medical advice. Treatment requires consultation with a licensed provider.
